A Seattle woman told police she saw a drone hovering by her apartment window, peeking into her private space.
An apartment employee investigated the complaint and found two men on the grounds, piloting the craft, the Associated Press reported. The two gathered their gear and left the scene before police arrived.
Authorities are checking surveillance video to see if they can identify the suspects, AP reported.
Drones have been a particularly hot issue for city officials. Mayor Mike McGinn demanded last year that Seattle police give up their plans to purchase and use drones for surveillance after residents and civil rights groups raised privacy concerns.
