MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) - Trial is scheduled to begin in Muskogee for a woman who allegedly tried to hire two men to kill her ex-boyfriend.

The Muskogee Phoenix reports (https://bit.ly/1mGqgcg ) that the trial of 51-year-old Kenna Morrison for solicitation of first-degree murder is to begin Monday in Muskogee County District Court.

Morrison has pleaded not guilty to charges that she tried to hire two men to kill Dewey Easom.

Investigators have said Morrison and Easom had fought and Easom kicked her out of their home and that Morrison wanted Easom’s veteran’s benefits and insurance money.

Morrison was arrested after one of the men she approached notified police and their conversations were later recorded.
