A voodoo priest from Brazil said he’s going to send a curse on Germany’s World Cup team prior to the two clubs’ face-off in the semifinal.
“I’ll take their top player and bind his legs so he can’t run on the pitch,” said black magic follower Helio Sillman from Rio de Janeiro, of Germany’s Joachim Loew, in reference to his planned curse of a voodoo doll, Raw Story reported.
Mr. Sillman owns and operates a black magic shop called “World of Orixas” in Madureira, and he carries out a voodoo ritual before many of the games, Raw Story said.
He places a voodoo doll of the opposing team’s most important player inside a small box and lights candles to say the curse. His success rate is mixed: Mr. Sillman put a curse on Columbia’s star player, but Columbia still won, 2-1.
Still, he has four dolls ready to go for the upcoming four matches Brazil still has to play, Raw Story reported.
