Hillary Clinton said Tuesday night that for her next job, she wants an office in her home with no corners.
Mrs. Clinton suggested on “The Daily Show” that she hopes to go to work every day in the Oval Office, though she stopped short of officially declaring a speculated 2016 run.
“I was going to make an announcement, but you kind of spoiled it for me,” she told Jon Stewart after he asked her about her plans for the presidency. “So I’m just going to have to consider where I go do it.”
Mr. Stewart gave her a career aptitude test to see how well suited she is to lead the country, asking questions like if she enjoys nonstop criticism, if she prefers to sit in traffic or cause it, if she likes commuting or working from home, and if she has a favorite shape for her office.
“I think the world is so complicated, the fewer corners that you have the better,” she said, laughing.
After the lighthearted joking, Mrs. Clinton spoke on more serious issues, like income inequality, dysfunction in Congress and foreign policy. She also addressed previous comments about being “dead broke” leaving the White House, calling the comment “inartful,” but used it as an opportunity to lament the lack of upward growth for hard-working Americans today.
