SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Gordon Hayward has returned to the Utah Jazz after missing five games because of a hip injury and center Derrick Favors is out with a hip problem.

The Jazz said before playing the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night that Favors has right hip abductor strain. Favors averages 13.5 points and a team-best 9.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocked shots per game.

Enes Kanter will start in Favors’ place. The Jazz are just 1-17 when Kanter takes the floor at tip off.

Hayward, a forward, averaged 27 points on 60 percent shooting over the best three-game stretch of his career before straining his left hip flexor. The Jazz went 2-3 in his absence.
