TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A retired Air Force noncommissioned officer from Tucson is running for Congress in a southern Arizona district.

Chuck Wooten has announced his candidacy for the 2nd District seat now held by Democrat Ron Barber.

Wooten will face fellow Air Force retiree Martha McSally and businesswoman Shelley Kais in the primary election for the Republican nomination.

Barber is running for re-election.

The district includes Cochise County and eastern Pima County, including much of Tucson.
