FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Wintery weather across the state has led the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and other college campuses to close for the day.
Officials in Fayetteville on Tuesday cited icy roads as the reason for calling off classes.
After snow fell on Sunday, the Fayetteville campus was closed Monday morning, and the initial plan Tuesday was to again open in the afternoon. Northwest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville canceled Tuesday sessions.
Arkansas State University in Jonesboro also called off classes Tuesday, as did the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. The University of Central Arkansas at Conway and the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith also gave students the day off.
