INNSBRUCK, Austria (AP) - Olympic ski jumping silver medalist Daniela Iraschko-Stolz of Austria will miss the remainder of the World Cup season following knee surgery.

Iraschko-Stolz damaged the meniscus in her left knee during a training jump in Seefeld, Austria on Monday, underwent surgery the next day, and will need six weeks for recovery, the Austrian ski federation said on Wednesday.

“My landing was good … but suddenly there was a twitch and I knew immediately that something was wrong again,” said Iraschko-Stolz, who tore ligaments in the same knee last year.

Iraschko-Stolz, who finished runner-up to Germany’s Carina Vogt in the first Olympic women’s ski jumping competition in Sochi two weeks ago, is third in the World Cup standings.
