DETROIT (AP) - Detroit police have conducted a sweep in three precincts for about 40 people wanted on drug and other criminal warrants.
The raid is the latest of several across Detroit in recent months.
The Detroit News reports that 400 officers were involved Thursday in “Operation Eye to Eye.” Detroit police got help from state police, federal officers and the Wayne County sheriff’s department.
Similar sweeps were made last month in two Detroit neighborhoods.
In December, several dozen people also were arrested in December at an east side housing complex. Police say they were wanted for aggravated assault, drugs and weapons violations.
A November raid at an apartment building also resulted in dozens of arrests.
