Hamas terrorists on Friday said they’ve shot and killed — execution style — 11 suspected informants who were accused of helping Israel with its recent airstrikes on a house in Gaza.
The airstrikes occurred Thursday and killed three top military commanders of Hamas.
In a website post on Al Rai, Hamas said the 11 were shot by a firing squad and vowed that “the same punishment will be imposed soon on others,” CBS News reported. The post also made clear that the executions came because of Israel’s recent airstrikes, saying “the current circumstances forced us to take such decisions,” CBS News reported.
One Gaza official said that the suspected informants were executed in the police headquarters in Gaza City. But Hamas’ website, Al Rai, claimed the killings actually came at the tail end of “legal procedures,” CBS News reported.
This is the third time in six weeks — when fighting first escalated in Gaza — that Hamas has killed alleged Israeli collaborators, CBS News reported.
