FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas senior guard Kikko Haydar has signed a contract to play professional basketball in his home country of Lebanon after graduation.

The university announced Tuesday that Haydar had signed a three-year contract to play for Sagesse in Division A in Lebanon. UA says Haydar will join Sagesse for the playoffs after graduation and his three-year contract will start the following season.

Haydar spent much of childhood in Fayetteville after his parents moved to Arkansas to become professors at the University of Arkansas, where they started the school’s Arabic program.

Former Razorback Charles Thomas also plays for Sagesse, based in Beirut.
