WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. (AP) - The White River Junction Veterans Affairs Medical Center will be hosting an open house and information fair about health care benefits for those who have served in the armed forces and received an honorable discharge.

The event takes place Monday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Staff will be answering questions and assisting veterans on VA health care applications. There will also be information tables about compensation benefits and other health care services.

Veterans are asked to bring copies of their discharge paperwork, a photo ID and last year’s financial information if they want to complete applications in person. Veterans can also complete applications online at www.whiteriver.va.gov by clicking “Become a Patient” and bringing a printed copy to expedite the process.
