PAGE, Ariz. (AP) - A northern Arizona community college is eliminating several full-time jobs in the hopes of saving thousands of dollars.

The Arizona Daily Sun reports (https://bit.ly/1oCc4WX) that the Coconino Community College District is downsizing its Page campus to only being staffed with two full-time positions.

Officials say a director and student services coordinator will remain full-time but all instructors will teach on a part-time basis.

The cuts mean the loss of 15 positions, or 10 percent of the college disrict’s workforce.

CCC says it is trying to close a $1.3 million budget gap in the next three years.

Officials anticipate making $855,000 in spending cuts and generating $430,000 in new revenue.

Page campus director Jim Hunter says residents can still get a basic associate degree within city limits.
