DEERFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Northwestern District Attorney David Sullivan will offer two conferences to help employers protect their business and employees from domestic violence.
The conferences are intended to help business owners, supervisors, human resource officers, security and union stewards who may deal with an employee who is either a domestic violence victim or offender.
Speakers will include Courtney Cahill, chief of the domestic violence unit of the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office. Kate Van Cort French, manager of Orchard Equipment and Supply, will talk about her experience as an employer of a domestic violence homicide victim.
The first conference is set for Wednesday at Chandler’s Restaurant at Yankee Candle in South Deerfield. The second conference will be on May 7 at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Northampton.
