OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - University of Nebraska at Omaha students will be joined by Omaha city officials to plant trees Friday in recognition of Arbor Day.

UNO sophomore Anna Di Ruocco organized the tree planting, which takes place at 11 a.m. on UNO’s Pacific campus, just north of the Peter Kiewitt Institute.

Others participating are Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert, members of the City of Omaha Parks and Recreation Department, two eight-graders from Alice Buffett Magnet Middle School and members of UNO and its student government.
