CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — A woman facing charges in the kidnapping of a North Carolina prosecutor’s father has turned herself in to authorities.
The FBI says Patricia Kramer turned herself in to the FBI in Atlanta Wednesday morning. She was one of nine people indicted Tuesday in the April 5 kidnapping of Frank Janssen.
Authorities say the kidnapping was retaliation for Janssen’s daughter’s prosecution of a high-ranking member of the Bloods gang being held in a North Carolina prison.
Another suspect, Quantavious Thompson, waived his right to a bond hearing before a federal judge in Atlanta on Wednesday, clearing the way for him to be transferred to North Carolina to face the charges against him.
Kramer is due in court for a bond hearing Wednesday afternoon.
