ATLANTA (AP) - Zoo Atlanta has a new litter of warthog piglets.

The zoo announced that an 8-year-old warthog named Shirley gave birth to her fifth litter of piglets on Thursday. She had four. Two of them are in guarded condition.

Zoo President Raymond King says Shirley’s piglets are something the zoo staff has come to associate with the beginning of spring and a new season at the zoo.

The zoo plans to put the warthog family on exhibit in its African Plains section in early May.
