COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Former President Bill Clinton will headline an Ohio Democratic Party event this summer.
The party says Clinton will speak at its annual state dinner in Columbus on June 13. State Democratic chairman Chris Redfern says the party is thrilled to have a speaker he calls a great leader and a lifelong fighter for working families.
Clinton carried Ohio both times in his presidential elections. Wife Hillary Rodham Clinton won the state’s Democratic primary in 2008 over eventual nominee and president Barack Obama.
