BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota Sen. John Hoeven says the Air Force expects to sign a final lease for a Grand Forks aerospace and technology park by early June.

The Air Force has said it would sign a 50-year lease for Grand Sky, a business complex for unmanned aircraft systems that will be anchored by Northrop Grumman.

Hoeven says the military has been “creative and innovative” in supporting the project.

North Dakota was recently designated as one of six unmanned aircraft test sites in the United States, which lawmakers say should boost the development of Grand Sky.
