France has a 35-hour work week to protect, and its unions just secured a win that will keep help it that way: employees must digitally “disconnect” from the office at the close of business.
The new agreement, hashed out by two French unions, will affect roughly 250,000 employees of companies like Facebook and Google, the Guardian reported.
Under the new rules, employees will be discouraged from checking smartphones or email after work ends and managers are prohibited from putting pressure on them to do so.
