For some gun shop owners, President Obama’s push to tighten Second Amendment rights isn’t all bad.

One New Hampshire gun store has a picture of the president, along with photos of two AK-47s, next to this banner in its front window: “Firearms Salesman of the Year,” CBS reports.

Another poster in this same window is of Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin and Mao Zedong and reads, “All Experts Agree, Gun Control Works,” CBS says.

Merrimack Collectible Arms & Ammo store co-owner Keith Cox says it’s no joke. Mr. Obama really has been good for business. And the signs — even if they’re offensive to some — aren’t coming down.

“This is simply nothing more than a message of free speech,” he said, in CBS. “We are not violating any laws. If people are offended, they can choose not to look at our storefront.”

He’s hardly the sole gun industry worker to report booming sales due to federal firearm control proposals. The National Shooting Sports Foundation announced in a recent USA Today report that ammunition makers around the nation have been reporting “spot shortages.” Retailers are attributing those shortages to gun owners who are stockpiling.

“We absolutely are in unchartered territory,” said Larry Hyatt, of Hyatt Gun Shop in Charlotte, N.C., in the USA Today report. “Our store is 53 years old and, we have never seen anything like this. We have had some spot shortages and busy gun times in the past. This is a level [of demand] never before seen.”
