Rep. Alan Grayson, a Florida Democrat known for his nasty and heated partisan attacks on the Republican Party, has returned for his new term with this simple threat: “I’m back,” he said.

“They got rid of me for two years, but now I’m back,” he said, according to a Roll Call report.

Mr. Grayson served one term in Congress before losing his 2010 re-election bid. Voters in a newly redrawn Democratic district elected him in 2012, and now he’s claiming “biggest comeback” status in the history of House elections, Roll Call reported.

There are no indications Mr. Grayson will bring a calmer tone to Congress this time around.

“There’s every reason to think that, if people want to see results, that we should continue,” he said in the Roll Call report. And of Republicans, he said moments later: “They love the taste of blood. They’re consistently pro-war, consistently killing foreigners. They view the entire world as either a massive inconvenience or something they feel is a personal threat. One or the other. They don’t recognize the world as full of human beings.”
