OPINION:
The liberal leftists stormed, occupied and trashed the courthouse and the Democrats ran from the state and hid (“Walker, GOP win big in Wis. recall races,” Web, Tuesday). The TV talking-head liberals had believed the recall vote was a beginning to a November re-election win for their leader, President Obama, and a death knell for the Tea Party.
But the Tea Party is the silent majority of Americans. The members don’t occupy, rape, fight cops or destroy property. They don’t invent reasons to call anyone racist and they believe in the American way, the freedom to pursue a life of opportunity and self-reward. They do not believe in the current themes of class warfare, sex warfare, religious warfare or in taxing the rich, redistributing the wealth, banning Big Gulps or apologizing for this and lying about that.
At the end of the day, the liberal media switched to the coverage of the Queen Elizabeth’s jubilee celebration. The silent American majority known by liberals as the Tea Party did what it has long done: It voted. Gov. Scott Walker’s Wisconsin victory is indeed the beginning of a new era.
Meanwhile, very tellingly, the current commander in chief commemorated the 68th anniversary of D-Day, the historic storming of Normandy, with campaign fundraisers in San Francisco and Beverly Hills.
