CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) — A spokesman for Prince George’s County schools says a female high school student has been stabbed and another student is in custody.

Briant Coleman says the stabbing occurred during an altercation between two female students at Fairmount Heights High School in Capitol Heights about 9 a.m. Friday. He says the victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and that her injuries are not life-threatening.

Coleman said did not know what type of weapon was used.
