The crimes, anti-social behavior and property damage linked to the various Occupy sites have grown to the point where even the most committed liberal has stopped comparing the “movement” to the Tea Party.

Ill-educated in what has held this country together so successfully for so long, the occupiers seem unaware that our constitutional right is “peaceably to assemble,” not “wantonly to destroy” property, foul the environment and disrupt untold lives. The vast majority of the protesters appear to come from the generation raised on easy living and self-absorption, left totally unprepared to face any kind of adversity. Petitioning the government for a redress of grievances, another of our fundamental rights, assumes one can present a coherent thought.

A few in this libertine drama have a political agenda; most are being used as pawns. Either way, it is long past due to say enough is enough.
