DALLAS (AP) - The officiating in Game 2 of the Portland-Dallas series was already going to be scrutinized after Trail Blazers coach Nate McMillan was fined $35,000 for his comments about the opener.

The Mavericks found out that Tuesday night’s officiating crew included Dan Crawford. Dallas was 2-18 in playoff games where he has been a referee.

The Mavs have lost six straight playoff games officiated by Crawford, starting with Game 3 of the 2006 NBA finals. It’s the most infamous game in franchise history as Dallas blew a 13-point, fourth-quarter lead on its way to blowing a 2-0 series lead.

This year, McMillan spoke out after his team lost the series opener to the Mavericks. Dallas took 19 free throws in the fourth quarter compared to two for the Blazers.
