COLUMBIA, MO. (AP) - Missouri safety Jasper Simmons will not play this week against Kansas.

Simmons was suspended indefinitely last week for undisclosed disciplinary reasons. He did not travel with the 15th-ranked Tigers for Saturday’s 14-0 victory at Iowa State.

Simmons was suspended for one game earlier in the season, also for undisclosed reasons, and has missed time after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery from an injury in the opener against Illinois.

Coach Gary Pinkel said Monday that linebacker Will Ebner was probable with a neck strain. Ebner also was probable last week but was held out after the pre-game workout.

Pinkel said a medical redshirt would be sought for linebacker Luke Lambert, who’ll miss his sixth straight game with a knee injury.
