WASHINGTON | Outfielder Justin Maxwell has been recalled from Triple-A Syracuse by the Washington Nationals, who also have moved right-hander Tyler Walker to the 60-day disabled list.

The moves came before Washington’s game at the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday night.

Maxwell is hitting .105 in 24 games with the Nationals in 2010.

Walker went on the 15-day disabled list in June, and he had season-ending surgery on his pitching shoulder Friday.
